Title: 'Black is the Colour' by Vulgarweed
Pairing: Severus Snape/Nazgul
Author on LJ:
vulgarweed
Author Website: On Skyehawke and at The Archive.
Why this must be read: Much of my fannish background has been slash-centric, but when I got into Harry Potter in 2002, I found myself gravitating towards the Snape/Hermione pairing, at least on a part-time basis. That led me to a collection of wonderful Snape/Hermione writers who posted on a shared website (La Société des Femmes Dangereuses) where I discovered Vulgarweed's fiction, and that led me to, well...this story, which was most decidedly not Snape/Hermione (or het of any description) and unlike the stories I tended to read, absolutely not plot-focused.
Instead, "Black is the Colour" is a fun, dirty, creepy, wonderful meeting between the Potions Master of Hogwarts and one of Sauron's "most terrible servants" in - of all unlikely places - Bram's of Carpathia: The Very Finest in Sinister Menswear.
For a 'fun, dirty, creepy, and wonderful' read: "Black is the Colour"
