 hiya guys, i'm hollytron and i'll be at the wheel of the knight bus van for harry potter this month. i'm admitted slytherin addict and most of my recs will be snermione or some permutation of snape/hermione/harry/draco. sorry about the delay, halloween was pretty crazy, but i'm here now and i've got plenty of recs for you guys this month!

Why this must be read:

i figured i'd start my recs with the first HP fic i ever read. i've followed yahtzee's fics ever since reading the fantastic bangel epic phoenix burning in the BTVS fandom, and yahtzee still continues to amaze me, regardless of fandom preference. but this fic, this fic, has a super special place in my heart none of her others do because it accurately portrays not only a plausible dystopian future for them all, but also a realistic portrayal of what a relationship between severus and hermione would be like.

"Not so shy anymore," Snape said.

"No. Not anymore." Had he really thought her shy, all this time? She felt only a dim sense of gratitude that he made so many of her explanations for her.

He brushed a fingertip against her cheek. "You make me feel young."

"You make me feel wise," she said, without ever considering that it was true. She was asleep almost before the words were spoken.
