'The Kids Aren't All Right by Christine Everhart' by M (PG-13)
Ah, Iron Man! It's the movie that really pulled me into the Marvel fandom, so it seemed a good place to start.
Fandom: MARVEL: IRON MAN (Movie)
Pairing: No Pairing
Length: 11,800 words
Author on LJ:
samdonne
Author Website: butchered art.
Why this must be read: 'The Kids Aren't All Right' is a brilliant meta-fictional article for Vanity Fair, written by the reporter Tony seduces in the movie, Christine Everhart (and transcribed, oh so excellently by
samdonne :).
I'm kicking off with this, because as well as offering an awesome commentary on the film, it's a great introduction to the fandom: it gives a run-down of Tony's background and the politics of the Iron Man universe, as well as adding a hard-edged reality that echoes some of the grittier issues in the comics. A definite must-read for all Iron Man fans.
