Why this must be read:
Rodney develops amnesia and loses the last seven years of his life, so the amazing thing about this story is how well the author combines Rodney from SG-1 with the John of Stargate Atlantis. She gets both characters right, including all of the ugly little bits of Rodney that were smoothed out when he transitioned to Atlantis. John has a difficult time dealing with who Rodney used to be, and their relationship gets ground down under the weight of the personality change as John is forced to rethink their friendship, their relationship, and himself.
