I've said before that I like AUs. This one - Blair really is a hippy, and a former soldier returned from Vietnam. Jim's a university professor. Feel free to raise your eyebrows, but I think the author sells it. Jim and Blair still manage to fall in love, and get in trouble. This story is placed firmly in the culture and politics of its setting, and it's something out of the normal for TS stories. I like it. Maybe you will too.
