Why this must be read:Because Lance d'Arc? Oh my! Maggie's created the strangest, weirdest AU possibly ever. But it totally works. The language is so rich and evocative, and I had to read it three times in a row. I adore how remix can make something this different but still (imho) be a tribute to the original. Remixes often don't receive as much feedback as other stories - so change that people!

He thought these feelings might be wicked. He prayed over them, and each time he felt that sweet strawberry red of what he'd come to call Le Sang wrapping around him, suffusing him with warmth like wine. Surely it couldn't be wrong, surely if Le Sang had not deserted him.
