Well, it's been a fun ride, kids. I hope you've enjoyed this beginner's tour of Marvel fandom as much as I have. Hopefully it's the first of many rec sets to come.

Why this must be read: Really, there was never any doubt in my mind that I'd finish up the rec set with this story. It's the story that seduced me into Iron Man/Captain America slash and set me off looking for more, more, more.

You need to know a tiny bit of canon before you read this story. Basically, if you've read the fandom primer I posted at the start of the month, you'll know what you need to about the recent Civil War storyline -- just make sure you've read the "Significant Events" bit of the primer and you're hot to trot.

Done that? Okay then, you're ready to embark on this long, plotty, action-packed, sci-fi adventure about the anguished love of Steve and Tony. It literally starts with a resurrection, and goes on to cover danger, intrigue, politics, and ends up with... well, that would be telling, but let's just say it's going to leave you satisfied. This is such a fantastic read. Why are you still here? Go go go!
