Author's Summary:After the events of the season one finale, the weight of secrets between Derek and Sarah creates tension between them.
This fic looks at the tensions between Derek and Sarah and carries it all the way to its logical and painful conclusion. The writing is sharp and tense. The results are accurate.
I can totally believe this happened. It's slightly Jossed by season 2, but the sentiments are pretty much the same.
Sarah Connor used to believe.
August 29th, 1997. For more than ten years, she held that date close, turned it over and under in her mind. She saw it every time she closed her eyes, every time she went to sleep. She lived it in her nightmares, and dreaded it when she was awake. It consumed her. The day. Judgment Day.
