Why this vid kicks ass:
For me, one of the touchstones of the series is the often achy and twisty feelings between Connor and Abby, particularly on Connor's side of the equation. For all that I love the prehistoric creatures, it's the human face of the protagonists that keeps me tuning in.
Throughout both series to date, Connor's had an obvious crush on Abby, one that he finally admitted to her was deeper. Abby's feelings aren't as clear, and those feelings are complicated on both sides by their friendship and the fact that he finally gets a girlfriend in series 2.
And I love how this video sets out their relationship, with all of its twisty turns. It's helped by the fact that the clips are chosen perfectly, showcasing not only their romantic feelings but the strong foundations of their friendship, whether that's being there for one another or mocking each other mercilessly - the affection and the exasperation, the courage exhibited in saving each other, and the cowardice that comes with having to admit what they really feel.
And - like the series - it ends on the only note it can.
