Hi and welcome to my month of recs for the Life on Mars fandom. Let me first say if you are new to Life on Mars please look back at the stories already featured as there have been some fabulous recs already. I hope you enjoy the stories I have chosen for you this month.

Why this must be read: because, quite simply, it is a superb, engrossing and memorable piece of writing. The story is based around episode 2.4 but changes the sex party scenario slightly to give us a threesome with Sam, Gene and Mrs Luckhurst. It is wonderfully, beautifully hot, uses gorgeous language, creates a compellingly realistic situation, and the characterisations of Annie, Gene and Sam are spot on. The author warns for borderline BDSM (and it isn't very explicit). Read it and I guarantee you will love it.

Gene’s courageous enough to face down a pub full of drunken United swine. He’s brave enough to remain steady when his D.I shoves a gun in his face; and he’s enough of a coward not to put himself in the position of third wheel. To say he all but sprints towards Mrs. Luckhurst would be a gross exaggeration, but Gene can’t recall moving this fast since the transport union called a national strike and the beer supplies began to dry up. Mrs. Luckhurst laughs, fingers tangling in his hair, greeting him with a hard kiss.
Boy meets girl, Gene thinks grandly, Tyler can fudge the rest.
Sam looks like he wants to kick him, trying to figure out the dynamics of a three-legged horse race and coming up short. Amused, Gene focuses on what’s important, the continued sexual prowess of the Genie legend. Mrs. Luckhurst’s nails are siren-red, her mouth tastes like wine. Her body undulates against him, mesmerizing as a snake, the slow push and withdrawal of thigh, hip and breast. Sam circles them patiently.

Oooh fabulous choice Vic! I love that story. She has a really deft touch and the layers of meaning she manages to create within that threesome are just amazing.
