palmaceae here, this is my second time at the helm of the Buffyverse van. I'll be reccing mostly het and gen Angel fics, and past that there's no real focus other than an emphasis on older stuff, as my logic is that if I can remember a fic I read five years ago, it must have been really good. Here we go!

Why this must be read: The vampire in question had slid into the front seat next to her. Except that it was still daylight and he wasn’t a vampire. This fic does a great job dealing with the ramifications of Not Fade Away and Angel after he shanshus. Maren humanizes Faith as she ups Angel's self loathing and angst levels. I read this fic years ago and I still remembered it this long after. Really superb, dark and tragic.
