Why this must be read:
Just for a change, here's a pairing that virtually never happens in fic. Why is that, anyway?
Joey's trying to relax, late at night, and goes swimming in the hotel pool, only to discover that there's someone else relaxing too. Written way back in 2001, it starts out cool and collected, just Joey and his thoughts. Then, hothot sex. Good stuff.
The door was locked from the outside, but there had to be dozens of people who had keys, and anyone else could do what Joey - and Kevin, he guessed - had, pay some sympathetic employee off to get in for a late-night swim or soak. It would be bad enough if another guest walked in on them, but if it was a reporter? It would be professional and personal suicide in one fell swoop.
