Why this must be read: This is the granddaddy of all Sam angst fic. It was one of the first fics I read in the fandom and is still one of my favorites. The author's summary is simply "Sam is accused of murder" but the fic is much more than that. Not only is it chock full of angst, torture, and h/c, but it also has an intriguing plot and great characterization.
Warnings for violence, attempted suicide, and massive angst.
