Why this must be read: While on a trip to Egypt, Rick runs into his long lost childhood friend Margaret. It's a happy reunion until pesky things like creepy dream visitations from Imhotep, death, and Ardeth Bey intrude. It was nice seeing Imhotep again actually, even if he seems to never actually die. Margaret is a nice addition to the family, and there are a few sequels to this fic if you're interested, check the author page to find them. It's almost like choose your own ending, you can pick the fic where Margaret ends up with Jonathan or Ardeth... The original fic is good, not so into the sequels, since I find it hard to believe that Ardeth ends up with a white chick, but it might be your cup of tea.
