Hi, everybody. :) Sorry for the late start this month.

I'm Michele and it's been awhile since my last turn behind the wheel. I'll be bringing you some of my very favorite works of fanfiction from the Star Wars fandom this month. I'm a fan of both the Original and Prequel Trilogies, so you can expect a good mix of both in my recs.

The first one is an oldie but a goodie, and probably one of my favorite SW fanfics ever (a bold statement, to be sure, but there you have it). It may have been recced here previously, but it's been a lonnnnnng time if so and it deserves to be recced again.

Why this must be read:

I never used to be an easy sell when it came to the somewhat controversial Obidala 'ship in Star Wars. This was one of those fics that caused me to contemplate the potential of this pairing for the first time. It's dark and emotionally charged without being graphic or gratuitous. The writing is amazingly good. Even if you can't stand the idea of this pairing, I promise you will be impressed with this story and will have gained something by reading it.

Thanks for reccing an Obidala fic, particularly one as well-done as obaona's. Obidala was the first non-canon (or, is it? some would say) genre I became interested in, because it seemed that movie canon told all there was to be told about Anidala. Now I think otherwise, but in '05 it was a different story.
