Why this must be read:
This is an "oldie" that most LoM fans probably already know about, from late 2007, just after Ashes to Ashes had been announced and no one knew if the new series was a sequel or a spin off or just not related at all (we still don't know, point of fact...but that is a discussion for another time). While there is still a lot of fresh writing going on in the fandom, I'm giving space to this story because it is my "go-to" feel-good, slashy, romantic fic of choice. My rainy day fic, as it were. Constance_B really nailed both Sam and Gene's characters as they are years after 1973, IMHO. She takes the set up of "Gene's moved to London" (which is a primary point of A2A, but this is not really a cross-over) and has Sam visit him on vacation. How much did they miss each other? THIIIIIIISSSS MUCH. *grin* I really love this story, it always takes me to my happy place.
