Just to clarify, ADJ is not in any way, shape or form based on the VSDs or any characterization contained therein. You have to know some fandom history to get the joke, but ADJ is a parody of the then-prevalent Frodo/Sam fanon characterization, in which Frodo is a rather milquetoast librarian who has not only never had sex but never had so much as a sexual thought before Sam wakes him with a kiss, so to speak. The joke's a lot clearer if you've read a lot of older hobbitslash.
