Why this must be read: This is beautiful crack but it's also a bit angsty and raw in places. It's a crossover of the Teen Titans cartoon and the comics but it's all DC and it really, really works. The author manages to keep the characters straight (well, not straight straight *g*) and show their personalities unique to either the comic or toon character. And there's Slade...and, well, Slade. There's an interesting plot and lots of character interaction and just a bit of romance. There's also a bit of reference to rape, so if that's triggery, you might want to pass, but I hope you give this a shot because it's just fantastic. I laugh a lot and then I want to cuddle both Robins.
By the time Nightwing, Arsenal, Tempest and Flash arrived at Titans Tower, the situation had nearly descended into chaos.
The two Beast Boys had taken over the kitchen in an attempt to cook what other Beast Boy declared was the best tofu pizza ever invented.
Both Ravens had retreated to Raven’s room in an attempt to meditate.
The Cyborgs were holed up in Cyborg’s workroom going over something. The occasional cry of "Booyah!" could be heard, which scared everyone.
The two Robins had chosen to ignore the question of whether they were doubles for now, and were sparring in the gym.
Aqualad and Speedy were still arguing, while both Kid Flashes were engaged in some version of tag. Or possibly keep away. It was hard to tell.
And the other Starfire was fleeing for her life, having pushed this universes version of Kory over the edge.
Kon and Cassie were sitting on the stairs and acting as though this might be the most hilarious thing they had ever seen in their entire lives.
They waved the four founding Titans over.
"Think you can keep the Starfires from destroying the tower?" Cassie asked Nightwing. "I mean... they’ve already wrecked a lot of stuff."
Dick groaned. One angry Starfire was bad enough. He really didn’t need two of them. He glanced over at Roy, who was watching his other self.
"Are they seriously going out?" Roy asked.
"The other Speedy and Aqualad?" Kon asked. "Yeah. The other Kid Flash... who I don’t think is Bart, but I’m not sure, and I don’t think they’ve bothered to ask each other yet, because they’re too busy trying to break everything in the Tower that the two Korys haven’t gotten to yet, said that they just broke up or something."
This time Roy met Dick’s gaze.
Breaking up with Roy had been the stupidest thing he’d ever done.
Well, it was up there anyway.
Garth shook his head. "I do not want to know how that happened."
"Tell me about it," Roy muttered. "No offense Gillhead, but... You’re not my type." He shot Dick another glance.
He had never been so grateful in his entire life to hear an alert go off as he was just then.
