Why this must be read: This is a classic Cookstro story, which follows the boys through their times on American Idol, the live tour, and into their relationship. This is a beautifully written story; staying pretty true to canon in terms of events with the boys' developing relationship as the core.
Your Illusion
The sun burned hot on the bridge of the young man’s nose as he made his way from the ocean to the sandy blanket on the beach. His legs gave out completely and he stumbled forward, letting himself collapse head first on to the blanket with a satisfied groan.
“Tired?” the voice came from the blanket beside him, a large umbrella staked into the sand to give the pale rocker better known as David Cook some much needed shade. Undistinguishable mumbles escaped the other’s mouth as he lolled his head to the side. Bright blue eyes peered up at David Cook and a half smile formed on his lips.
