So yes, in the show Morgana is Uther's ward. And he's a good deal older than her and this ship is a little wrong maybe. On the other hand, Morgana is often the defacto queen of Camelot, and she's the only character on the show who isn't afraid of Uther. In the later episodes of Series One especially their relationship becomes fascinatingly fraught and complex.

This pairing actually gets a lot of (secret, dirty) love in the fandom- I think, maybe it's just me!- mostly because their interactions are the deliciously subtextual sort that appeals to the slashers and het-shippers alike.

Amour Courtois is my favorite Uther/Morgana fic. shetiger accomplishes the difficult task of getting Uther and Morgana together just right. It's fairly short but encompasses so much of these characters and what they are to each other, and worse, what's to come for both of them. Also, the sex is hot like burning. So if you've ever considered this pairing, I'd recommend giving this fic a try. You won't regret it.
