Why this must be read:

Arthur/Gwen is a pairing that I love a lot more than I expected to. I've been thoroughly charmed by the moments of Arthur/Gwen that we've been given on the show so far, and I'm really excited to see what happens between them as Series 2 unfolds. Maybe it's the way that Arthur calls her Guinevere, I don't know, but there is something very compelling about the two of them coming together. (Also, reccing this gives me an excuse to use this icon oh so ironically.)

Sometimes I Forget I'm Still Awake captures all of the marvelous potential between them just perfectly. It remains, in my mind, the gold standard for Arthur/Gwen fic. paperclipbitch does a great job of laying out a number of crucial small moments- some funny, some painful, but all utterly true to both characters.
