VID REC: Harry Potter - Death Shall Have No Dominion (Farewell)
Vidder: Littleblackbow/chibitoaster
Musical artist: Apocalyptica
Pairing: Harry Potter/Severus Snape
Vidder on LJ:

Why this vid kicks ass: This vid is a post-DH fixit story, told in graphic novel-style set to music. (It's also a bit of a Dark Shadows crossover, but you don't really need to know that to appreciate it; that's just providing setting around the events of the vid.)
The thing that grabs me most about the vid is the artwork: I rarely look at Snarry artwork, because most of it, no matter how well-intentioned, portrays Harry as young-looking. The Harry in this vid, although recognizably Our Hero, is an *adult*. He's not just a Dan Radcliffe portrait (or taken from Mary GrandPré's artwork), either. He's a beautiful, original, grown-up Harry. Snape, likewise, looks like himself, but not a copy of existing models.
The story itself is just lovely, in a poignant, sad way. The ending makes me sniffly (and it's not just this horrid cold). Sparsely told, but evocative. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.
