Why this must be read:
My first April rec was a dark one--I chose this older story to illustrate the other face of the series, the quippy Buffy the Vampire Slayer that charmed viewers with its snarky humor. The author captures the snappy dialogue characteristic of canon BtVS, and the words ring true for each of the characters. It's told from Oz's POV, and I love Oz. This story also features two of the rarer slash pairings in this fandom, Oz/Graham and Xander/Riley.
