Because I Could Not Stop for Death by Moogsthewriter, PG13
Hello out there. I'm
strangevisitor7 and I will be driving the Magnificent Seven Van for the month of November. The stories I'll be rec'ing will be Gen whether they are OW, AU or Crossovers.
Fandom: THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN
Characters/Pairing/Verse: All Seven - Gen, OW
Length: 3787
Author on LJ:[Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]
Author Website: Archive on FFN
Warning: This is a Death fic, BUT it's funny I swear.
Still it is a death fic, so it's also a bit sad and touching and it's told from the POV of Death as he tries to collect the boys souls. I always enjoy stories that let us see the seven from an outsider's POV and who is more of an outsider than Death. We find out that Death's job is really hard: Tons of paperwork, annoying co-workers and then there's fact that our boys just won't die. The poor guy. Go read this: you'll laugh, you'll cry...you get the idea.
Excerpt:
After awhile, it got to the point where Death dreaded the day when he would actually succeed in taking one of the infamous Seven to the river Styx. As annoying as it was, he rather liked their grit and determination, and he had to admire their efficiency at stopping any threat that approached their town. He had to grumble and complain about the stacks of paperwork the group caused him in front of his peers to keep up his façade though – no need in letting them think he was going soft. He was Death after all, and he had a reputation to maintain.
