Why this must be read: Inara sets out to give her students a lesson and learns something herself as well. Set post-Serenity, Inara is now an instructress at a Companion House and the focus of a lot of rumours from the others at the house. When she has to give a 'live' demonstration, Inara's client turns out to be someone from her past.
The author provides us with a a fascinating look at what life and lessons might be like in a 'Verse companion house. Her two characters, Inara and Jayne are wonderfully in character and I love that Inara learns as much as she teaches.
