Why this must be read: This is a fantastic character study of Elle, featuring her twisted emotional and sexual development. It was written before season three, so the Elle/Sylar is considerably different than in the show. (Their first meeting actually makes sense, for example.) I enjoy how the author uses the Haitian's sudden appearances to her advantage
