Why this must be read:
Skip Beat! is an anime and manga series I absolutely adore because the heroine, Kyoko, is kind of crazy and doesn't take things lying down when she gets dumped by her childhood friend, Shou. No, Kyoko decides she's going to get even by defeating Shou, and ends up entwined in the life of Ren, Shou's main rival.
Then things get even funnier, which is why I'm reccing momoirousagichan's The CoStar Killer since she manages to nail the feel of the series.
This epic manages to use the full cast and showcases the sometimes zany antics of the characters. Kyoko's denseness toward Ren (and everyone else in her life) is played up perfectly, and this fic is at turns amusing, touching, and fascinating. momoirousagichan really catches the complex world of showbiz that Kyouko and Ren exist in.
I would guess this is the most popular fic in Skip Beat! fandom, since it's just that good.
