Because Tony being sued for financial damages while saving the world as Iron Man is just so hilarious a concept, and lets face it probably happened at one point or another. The legal paperwork in the beginning is a perfect touch to this piece, and Tony and Pepper's back and forth banter about this turn of events is wonderfully in character.
