Why this fic must be read: Written for the 2009 Merlin Big Bang this fic is a wonderful example of a modern AU. In this AU Merlin is a medical (secretly a wizard) student who moves to London to further his magical studies and instead becomes embroiled in a sorcerer's plan for world domination and meets both a dragon and his destiny.
I love Arthur's driven policeman and how protective he is of everyone in his vicinity. Merlin in this fic is one of my favourite Merlins. Morgana's gorgeous character, Gwen and Lancelot's awesomeness, the dragon actively particpating in the battle are all elements that just make this story great. Why not check out...
