Why this must be read:
Mara is someone I believe who doesn't write nearly enough Stargate fanfiction because she absolutely rules when she does. She has an amazing grasp on the characters and uses it quite deftly and in "Crazy Like A Fox" she gives us a damn good look at Jack O'Neill's most infuriating habit. Pretending to be dumb and, in a perfectly brilliant move, she uses Cassandra to do it.
It's post "Rite of Passage" and during a visit to Jack's house, Cassie and he have a positively enlightening discussion and Mara handles it with the usual amazing skill that makes this story - and the rest of her Stargate stories - a must read.
