Why this must be read:
This author's writing is exquisite. We get sensuous details of Mulder's enjoyment of a meal at a restaurant in New Orleans (if you are familiar with the comics series Lucifer, which was a spinoff of the insanely popular Sandman series and a flagship comic for the DC imprint Vertigo, you'll know WHICH restaurant I am talking about), along with the ambiance of the place... and a certain piano player. The sex is hot and epic, Mulder's reactions are bittersweet and perfect, and Mazikeen is just as fabulously scary as she should be.
I highly recommend checking out this author's other stories, particularly his Hellblazer crossover series (which can be found on the website linked above). Please note that this story is most of a decade old, so if it has been recommended before here I am really sorry... but it deserves to be recommended twice, so there! (I'm finding it really difficult to look back through all of the Memories and Tags for this fandom in this community. Also, I keep getting distracted reading fic. LOL)
