Why this must be read:
Don't let the pairing scare you away. Seriously, this is brilliant. The nursery rhyme theme is perfectly eerie and suits the episode it is based on down to the ground. The author gets into Sam's head incredibly well.
The sunlight filters through the leaves in sparks and speckles, darts in his eyes and makes it difficult to see, and he thinks distractedly where are you, daddy? without quite knowing why.
