A Little B&D Comfort by PFL (Everyone)
Fandom: THE PROFESSIONALS
Pairing: Bodie/Doyle
Length: approx 1000 words
Author on LJ:
msmoat
Author Website: Links to PFL’s stories can be found here, here, and here .
Why this must be read: well the fact is I would recommend all of PFL’s stories from the epics through to the drabbles as she always captures Bodie and Doyle perfectly and tells a brilliant story. And the story I have picked to rec is no exception. The author summarises it as: Bodie takes a tumble. Doyle is...not entirely sympathetic. and it makes me grin every time I read it. It is full of wonderful dialogue, lots of banter between the lads, humour, charm, love and warmth, and I know you will all love it!
Excerpt
Doyle sighed. "If you must know, I was cat-sitting." He sat down on the sofa, at a right angle to Bodie.
"Cat--" Bodie sat up straighter, and a grin curved his mouth.
"Sitting, yes." Doyle handed the plate of biscuits to Bodie, who took one.
"Who in bloody hell would trust you--"
"I'm very good at cat-sitting!"
"I hope you left your gun at home."
"Would you shut up and eat your biscuit?"
Bodie did as he asked, but he made a sound suspiciously close to a chuckle.
