Why this must be read:

There is never a time when it is NOT a good idea to read some of T's fic. Gen or slash, she is, hands-down, one of the best writers in the TS fandom. Her command of language is profound, and her grasp on the characters extraordinary. And this, this fic must be read because it is a slightly sweet and slightly angsty exploration of the relationship between Jim and Blair. It's also one of the hottest things I've ever read, and it doesn't even have that much explicit content. All of which just goes to prove how amazing this author is.

Whoa-kay. I don't even know what to say to this -- I mean, thank you, sheesh yes, so much, but you're just leaving me tongue-tangled here. (SERIOUSLY.)

This was, start to finish, one of those fics you know you won't be able to do nearly as much justice to as you want to, but you *have* to write it anyway, sort of Damn the Torpedoes!fic, I guess, and I just beam like crazy on behalf of the fic that you've recced it here (and that it came across as hot, because I really have a hard time ever seeing that in anything I write).
