FIC: Chaos Theory by Pandarus (G)
Title: Chaos Theory
Fandom: BtVS
Pairing: None.
Author on LJ:
pandarus
Author Website: Fayjay's Buffy Fic
Why this must be read:
It was kissing Xander that did it. Cordelia had given the matter a lot of thought and she'd concluded that this had been the moment when she sent the world hurtling off its axis by screwing with the natural order of things in the worst possible way. From that point on all the other Bad Things unfolded naturally, inevitably.
Good gen fic in the Jossverse can be hard to find. Like so much of fandom, most fic is pairing oriented, or somehow sexually driven. I'm particularly fond of the sort of in-between filler fic, the stories you don't see that help create a more well-rounded character.
In this story, Cordelia goes from computer dunce to passable--something we saw only in bits and pieces on screen. She became pretty handy with a computer, so it's nice to see the story that wasn't there. Also, Fay does the patented Cordysnark very well.
