Why this must be read:
My geekery now takes us into the realm of sci-fi (and my favorite type – futuristic without getting too techy), with Jared as an Empath newly assigned to the space station where Technopath Jensen works (so yes, it hits my superpower kink, too). This is one of those stories that just makes me happy when I read it, reminding me of Anne McCaffrey’s sci-fi books, Babylon 5 and DS9 (if those last two places were fluffier) all at once. Plus, it has one of my favorite characterizations of Jensen - smarter than smart and no-nonsense, but still clueless about some very basic things.
