Why this must be read: There's undercover work, some sneaking around among docks and warehouses, a rescue, a hostage situation... and a lot more. Case fic and Shassie, with a hint of Gus/Jules.
Lassiter's a smart cop and a brave one, and I love it when fic reflects this. In Later Days, Lassie's out to catch an international smuggler/trafficker and his associates. To do so, he needs to convince the guy that he (Lassie) is a bad cop. He also needs to keep Shawn out of the way of his case. Neither of these things are easy, but Lassie's up to the task - most of the time.
