Many countries around the world choose a day to celebrate our mothers. Today is that day here in the States. Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers and to all of us who come from mothers.

Why this must be read: Just a little insight into the mother of one of the show's characters.
Rather than going for the obvious, Naomi or Grace (or Margaret Mary), I wanted to highlight a less-well-known mom and found this short story about Joan Banks. Actually, the story focuses on Daryl, but the exchanges between him and his mother give us some poignancy for their entire situation. Enjoy.
