Why this must be read:
This story is set more than 40 years before the Ring War, when Théoden is in his early twenties, and Aragorn is about 40.
Usually when you start reading a story, you can pretty quickly determine what course it is going to take, but this story does a wonderful job subverting your expectations. I can't say more without being terribly spoilery, except that this story is different than any Aragorn slash I've read to date, and it manages to keep him in character at the same time.
