au_bingo with the Duchess and the Negotiator together for a partnership and also a marriage, this story describes their prickly, strongly emotional union. With
truthtruthlie's imaginative use of visuals, we get a sense of the passage of time and the marking that the death of the entire Jedi society had on one of its own. Adding to the happier circumstances of the romance *well, at least thus far the Clone Wars TV series has shown us of it*, is the notion that they took some time off from duty to enjoy their togetherness without so much stress. When I think of nobility using its prestige for the good of all citizens, I am reminded of Baroness Cheshire, whose birthday the third of July is. Baroness, you and Duchess Satine knew what to do with your power. I salute you.

Wait... so is this some kind of Star Wars/Moulin Rouge crossover?

I read "Satine" and thought Moulin Rouge (รง), since the main female character is named Satine (she's meant to marry a Duke) and she falls in love with Ewan McGregor's character. LOL

Moulin Rouge (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moulin_Rouge!). Of course the one time I don't preview my post, my HTML is borked. :p

Makes me wonder if that Satine was named for the one in Moulin Rouge. I mean, she's even a Duchess!

IDK, I still think it's a clever little "shout out"
especially since Kidman and McGregor are alleged to have had an affair on the set.no subject
The winkwinknudge that Filoni and pals do with RL people is great, because Kryze's model for the animation, to my eye at least, resembles Kidman in the high forehead and sort of squarish jaw, and that's just fine with me. I enjoy a hearty laugh as much as the next person.

I love in-jokes/shout outs too! Geoffrey Palmer showing up as an admiral opposite Judi Dench's M in that one James Bond movie just made that entire movie for me!
