As TamsinBailey points out in her AN, there’s no reason that Brennan would be any less opposed to marriage in the Lab!verse than in the Jeffersonian!verse, yet “The End in the Beginning” showed us a happily married Booth and Brennan. This fic acts as an origin story of sorts for Booth and Brennan in the Lab!verse, beginning at their initial meeting and following them as their romance unfolds. The writing is simple but striking, the details about working at the Lab are rich, and TamsinBailey does a fantastic job of fleshing out an alternate but entirely in-character Brennan.
