Why this must be read: - Post TSbyBS, Blair decides that he can't be a cop, and gets a job teaching in a commune in Oregon. And then all Jim's cases are brought up for review, he's being investigated... Someone, somewhere, is aware that Jim is hiding something.
Steven plays a fairly major role in this story. He appears occasionally in fanfiction, sometimes friendly, sometimes not so friendly. Scala has fleshed him out well in this story, giving Jim a really supportive brother as he fights to protect Blair as well as avoid revealing the truth about himself while he comes up with a good reason to be 'hiding something'.
The story is in two parts.
