Wonderful summary. I bought all 5 Babylon 5 DVD sets, but I have yet to watch them. Shame on me! Reading this summary was so much fun and reminded me of all the characters and stories that I loved or loved to hate. As complex as the show was, I didn't think it could be done in anything less than a novella, but here you are.

I have never read any B5 fanfic. I hadn't even heard of fanfic when the show was on. However, I do look forward to some recommendations and rewatching the series.
