I adore a good historical AU in most fandoms I read, Merlin included. Imagine my utter delight in finding one so well researched and so well written. Riventhorn has created a world set during the American Revolution that involves all the key details and events of the day, adding in the little touches that make this world Merlin like magic and the relationship between these two men. Ranging from the beginning in 1774 to the end of the war, we follow these two men as they explore their relationship in a time when it's taboo and discover the value of freedom in a time when it's being fought for. Riventhorn built an epic that I was more than happy to be lost in; you'll be just as enthralled.
