Why this must be read:
A lovely look at where the show has gone in terms of Arthur's and Merlin's relationship and their motivations by Season 4, the latest one. After four years of working together and trusting each, they've built a partnership that will help to shape a kingdom. From Arthur putting Merlin into the position of advisor regardless of his servant status to Merlin keeping mum about an attacker because he knows the knowledge would lead Camelot to war, these two individuals have put each other and the kingdom of Camelot first. It's a nice realization after four years of putting up with each other, helping to guard the other, and being there to support the other in everything. I found this story a very uplifting precursor to what the future of Camelot looks like.
