Why this must be read:
I've gone through canon and post-canon stories, so now I turn to AUs and crack. Many excellent AUs have already been recced, but when speaking of crack, one writer comes immediately to mind:sparky77. She takes Ray's joke that Brad joined the Corps because of the dragon-slaying commercial and turns Brad into an actual dragon slayer. As you do. And it is brilliant, laugh-out-loud hilarious, featuring the perfect squire!Ray and much insane badassery all around. Including Nate as the virgin sacrifice. Just awesome.
