Why this must be read:
This is a new fic in the fandom, and it's long, lovely and satisfying. Something happens to James and it breaks Robbie open. And once it's done that it threatens to tear their partnership asunder too. The author has selected 'Author chose not to use archive warnings' on the AO3, but I cannot recommend this story strongly enough – even if you're of a more faint-hearted fic reading persuasion.

This is such a good story, and such a good love story. 

“It’s not as simple as that.” James takes a jerky drag of his cigarette, sitting now with shoulders hunched, and something about his posture just twists at Robbie’s heart, though he doesn’t know why. “If I accepted, it’d be under false pretences. I haven’t been completely honest with you, and please don’t ask me what about, because I can’t tell you-”

I'm commenting, though, a little sheepishly to point out that the LJ link you've included here, though it's labelled as my master list, is only a list (and not up to date, at that) of my Doctor Who fic.
