Why this must be read:
Summary: "Clint doesn't want to lose Kate the same way he's lost his other partners, so sex needs to be off the menu. Unfortunately, Kate's really not on board the whole "not sleeping together" train."
This short drabble refers to Clint's statement that he and Kate aren't sleeping together and pretty much sums up the hesitation on his part. The pull from his brain on why he shouldn't and why it's a bad idea to the push from his own response to Kate is done really well. There are some lovely details and I kind of love how he knows he's losing the battle. Andzarabithia does a great job of capturing the dynamic between the two Hawkeyes. On a side note, if you've been thinking about getting into Marvel Comics after seeing the film and have a particular fondness for Clint Barton, then you might want to give Hawkeye a shot. It's a pretty new series (issue #7 will be out soon) with great artwork and features Kate Bishop who is pretty awesome.
