Hi, I'm Beth and it's my turn to take the wheel this month. It's my second time in the seat and my only plan so far is to try and rec a handful of writers who have rarely, if ever, been recced here.
Fandom: THE SENTINEL
Pairing: None, Gen
Length: 11’869 words
Author on LJ: Unknown
Author Website: Archived on Cascade Library
Author’s Summary:
When Naomi visits the loft in the wake of TSbyBS, Jim is wary--but when he senses the presence of evil, things go from bad to worse.
Why this must be read:
I don’t usually go for supernatural based stories but this one drew me with its theology and mysticism. It starts off slow and eerie and then once the spirit confirms its presence, things progress at a faster, edgier pace; eventually leading Jim to the conclusion that the only way to fight back is in the spirit world. Part of its appeal for me was how Jim made a conscious choice to accept his sentinel abilities on a level he’s always shied away from in the past; and of course, the creep factor is a big plus too.
