Why this must be read: It’s a gentle story of healing between two damaged men.

Post series, Blair is recovering from the repercussions of his press conference, and pondering whether to take Simon up on his offer to become a detective. Jim invites Blair to take a vacation to Italy with him. Reluctant because of his shaky financial position, Blair concedes because it seems to mean so much to Jim. They head to Ravenna, the mosaic capital of Europe.

Fluterbev has been recommended here many times, and justly so. This might be a less-well-known story, but it’s one of hers that’s close to my heart. I’m delighted that she’s added this and many other stories to the 852 collection. Enjoy.
